Laminate Technologies is seeking a Material Handler to supply production lines with raw materials and move stock within our warehouse. You will load and unload materials, tag and identify items, and ensure safe, timely delivery to designated areas.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, recording material movements, and maintaining clean, organized storage areas while following all safety policies and procedures.

Qualificações

Description

The Material Handler is responsible for supplying production lines with raw materials, moving stock or other material around a warehouse, to and from storage, to and from transportation vessels, and/or production areas, as well as meeting quality standards for both Laminate Technologies and our customers.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using lifting tools as required
2. Mark or tag identification on parts/totes
3. Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment
4. Sort cargo before loading and unloading
5. Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information
6. Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs
7. Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily check sheets
8. Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported
9. Direct spouts and position receptacles, such as bins, carts, or containers so they can be loaded
10. Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected
11. Move levers or controls that operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, or stack material
12. Inspect product load for accuracy and safety move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery
13. Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles
14. Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas
15. Weigh materials or products and record weight or other production data on tags or labels
16. Perform routine maintenance on forklift such as recharging batteries and watering batteries
17. Move controls to drive electric powered trucks and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas
18. Follow established company and work area safety policies including the wearing of all required PPE’s
19. Maintain equipment and clean working areas
20. Follow established company policies, policies and rules outlined in Member Handbook as well as procedures required in the standard operating procedures/work instructions
21. Maintains open communication with supervisors, team leaders and other material handlers regarding stocking and movement of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
22. Assist in maintaining work area (i.e. sweeping, emptying trash, etc.)
23. Other duties and responsibilities as directed by your supervisor
