Job summary

BD is seeking a Material Handler for its Tucson, AZ plant. The role involves moving materials, parts, and finished products using forklifts and related equipment, following SOPs, and maintaining orderly shipping/receiving areas.

The position requires a high school diploma, forklift certification, and about 1 year of warehouse experience. The incumbent will work in a team, adhere to safety and quality standards, and may rotate shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.
• Forklift certification.
• Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Move materials, parts, and finished products within the Tucson plant.
• Receive At dock process per SOP for carriers delivering finish goods.
• Maintain cleanliness in shipping and receiving area.
• May maintain records.
• Attach correct and complete identifying labels to all products.
• Develop skills in basic tasks within one process area.
• Follow SOPs and quality guidelines.
• Notify Quality Representative of quality problems.
• Maintain warehouse quality standards and report damage.
• Work in accordance with safety regulations.
• Coordinate work with team members.
• Use handheld radio frequency or computer system as required.
• Ensure regulatory compliance per BD manuals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Avail to rotate shifts based on operational needs.
