Job summary

Denison Industries, Inc. is seeking a forklift operator to move materials within the plant safely and efficiently, supporting internal customer service goals. You will operate forklifts to relocate goods, ensure correct placement, and document movements when required.

Must have a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience with a valid license and clean driving record, and an active CDL license. All work is performed in a dusty, hot environment with strict safety procedures and PPE

• Active CDL license.

Responsibilities

• Move materials to correct locations and ensure proper storage and documentation as needed.
• Operate forklift and other equipment to move goods to various stations in the plant safely and efficiently.
• Maintain forklift and equipment cleanliness and perform routine care.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and perform other duties as assigned.

Move materials to and from different areas of operations in a safe, efficient and accurate manner to support internal customer service goals.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure that materials are moved to correct place, stored properly and when required, documented accurately
• Operate forklift and/or other equipment or vehicles to arrange and/or move goods, equipment and materials to various workstations around the plant in a safe and timely manner to ensure smooth flow of materials throughout the facility
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning and general care of forklift and/or other equipment used in the performance of this function
• Perform any and all other job-related tasks as assigned

Skills or Experience Required:

• High school degree or GED is required.
• Must have forklift experience and forklift license with safe driving record or be able to certify as a forklift driver (may need to certify on more than one (1) piece or type of equipment).
• Active CDL license.

Other Position Demands or Requirements:

Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy.

Working Conditions/Safety Requirements:

Works with dust, heat, noise and fumes of foundry. Must be able to bend, reach, lift and move up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Must wear protective safety equipment including steel toed shoes with metatarsal cover, hearing protection, gloves, respirator, safety glasses, and seat belt when operating forklift.
