Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler in Oklahoma City to support operations by moving material and inventory throughout the facility. You will use hand trucks, conveyors, or other material handling equipment, perform packing, scanning, labeling, and ensure accurate orders.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, can read safety rules, and have basic math skills. Prior warehouse experience and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math with or without a calculator.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents.

Responsibilities

• Move material and inventory throughout the facility to support operations.
• Use hand trucks, conveyors or other material handling equipment.

• Verify orders, label products and use a handheld scanner.
• Adhere to the 7S program and maintain a clean work area.
• Work in a safe manner to protect yourself and teammates.
• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights up to 50 lbs.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Support operations by moving material and inventory throughout the facility
• Use hand trucks, conveyors or other material handling equipment
• Perform duties that may include packing, scanning, kitting or counting products
• Verify orders, label products and use a handheld scanner
• Adhere to the 7S program
• Maintain a clean environment at all times
• Work in a safe manner that protects you and your team members

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• To be at least 18 years of age
• The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents

It’d be great if you also have:

• 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed
• Experience using a handheld scanner
• Positive attitude and the ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, sit or walk for prolonged periods of time
• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull
• Handle or manage tools or equipment
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
