Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking a Material Handler to support its warehouse operations in Maryland. You will move material and inventory throughout the facility, operate hand trucks and conveyors, and assist with packing, scanning and counting products.

The role requires basic math, reliability and the ability to read safety documents; experience with handheld scanners is a plus. We offer a strong benefits package and a safe, team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Support operations by moving material and inventory throughout the facility
• Use hand trucks, conveyors or other material handling equipment
• Perform duties that may include packing, scanning, kitting or counting products
• Verify orders, label products and use a handheld scanner
• Adhere to the 7S program
• Maintain a clean environment at all times
• Work in a safe manner that protects you and your team members

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• At a minimum, you’ll need: To be at least 18 years of age
• The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents

It’d be great if you also have:

• 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed
• Experience using a handheld scanner
• Positive attitude and the ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives

This job requires the ability to:
