Job description

Material Handler Day Shift - $18.00/hr.

Who we are looking for:

We are currently seeking a Material Handler based at our Pendleton location. Reporting to the Shift Lead, the primary responsibilities include packaging finished pipe in proper crate quantities, conducting regular quality checks, and ensuring customers receive a quality product.

What you'll do:

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Extrusion
   1. Confirm product with schedule
   2. Assist with Quality Control duties
      • Monitor saw cuts
      • Check pipe length
      • Bell fit
      • Print line confirmation
      • Chamfer/Bevel
      • Reference line spacing
   3. Weigh and transport finished product
   4. Cut crate boards to proper lengths
   5. Process regrind
   6. Perform maintenance and cleanup for production and storage areas
   7. Follow plant safety rules and wear proper PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, gloves)
   8. Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
   9. Proficient with material handling and packaging devices including forklifts, pallet jacks, banders, and nail guns

What you'll bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic math skills for counting and calculations
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization
• Initiative and adaptability to changing work environments
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and up to 70 pounds occasionally
