Job description

Material Handler Day Shift - $18.00/hr

Who we are looking for:

We are currently seeking a Material Handler based in our Pendleton location. Reporting to the Shift Lead, the primary responsibility will be to package finished pipe in proper crate quantities, ensure regular quality checks, and deliver a quality product to customers.

What you'll do:

  1. Assist with extrusion processes, including confirming product with schedule and monitoring saw cuts, pipe length, bell fit, print line confirmation, chamfer/bevel, and reference line spacing.
  2. Weigh and transport finished products.
  3. Cut crate boards to proper lengths.
  4. Process regrind.
  5. Perform maintenance and cleanup of production and storage areas.
  6. Follow all plant safety rules and wear proper PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, gloves).
  7. Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to accomplish all duties.
  8. Operate all material handling and packaging equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, banders, and nail guns proficiently.

What you'll bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic math skills for counting and calculations.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Initiative and adaptability to changing environments.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and occasionally up to 70 pounds.

Within 3 months, you'll:

  • Understand our Safety Culture.
  • Learn your basic job duties.
  • Identify steps for potential promotion.

As of this posting, the estimated pay for this position is $18.00/hr. Compensation depends on factors such as skills, experience, and organizational needs and may include overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
