Job summary

Dawson seeks a Material Handler in Lewis Center, Ohio (Onsite) to join a small warehouse team. This role involves loading/unloading, counting, and processing shipments, with hands-on training for pallet jack and forklift use. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with temp-to-hire potential and benefits after hire.

The position emphasizes accuracy, safety, and dependable attendance in a fast-paced environment, offering growth opportunities and a stable daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 90 lbs.
• Strong counting and math skills; cycle counts are critical.
• Familiarity with cycle counts or inventory software is a plus.
• Pallet jack experience preferred; forklift experience a plus (forklift use after permanent hire).

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves; band materials as needed.
• Read work orders and move correct materials to destination.
• Secure materials for transport and count/record shipments.
• Perform bi-weekly cycle counts to maintain inventory records.
• Resolve shipping errors and provide customer service as needed.
• Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Assist with receiving, labeling, and basic inventory tasks.
