Alexandria Industries in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Material Handler for 1st Shift. The role involves receiving, packing, and shipping finished material, using forklifts and cranes, with a focus on safety and quality.

You will work Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:00pm, lift up to 40 lbs, and participate in improvement ideas. Alexandria offers strong benefits including medical, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and semi-tractor.
• Basic blueprint reading and intermediate math skills.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs, with team lifts or a crane for heavier items.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors, including heat and cold.

Responsabilités

• Operate forklifts, cranes, and yard trucks safely
• Receive and inspect incoming material, then stock it and process transfers in our system
• Pack, wrap, band, and label finished product for shipment
• Load carriers and complete shipping paperwork
• Count inventory and resolve any differences
