Job summary

Crown Technical Systems, based in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Material Handler to support inbound and outbound shipments. The role reports to the Materials Manager and requires careful handling and accurate documentation of inventory and receipts.

The position offers daytime hours, a Monday–Friday schedule, and opportunities to contribute to process improvements and timely material flow within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented abilities.
• Solid organizational and time management skills.
• Familiar with cycle counting, picking and posting, and working with an MRP/ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload deliveries using forklifts, dollies, or hand trucks in a safe manner.
• Verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against supplier's count and reports discrepancies.
• Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
• Stage received material and product in appropriate location.
• Create shipping and receiving receipts within system.
• Performs inspections on received material and product; document and refuse delivery if material and product do not meet quality standards.
• Maintains inventory management systems to ensure orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other departments.
• Stages product in appropriate staging area for pickup by shipping carrier.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
