Job summary

The Baillie Group's Owego, NY facility is hiring for a Material Handler / General Laborer. This full-time direct hire role is ideal for candidates with warehouse or entry-level general labor experience.

The position offers first-shift hours and a path to a stable career with a leading hardwood lumber manufacturer. Responsibilities include building bundles, ensuring quality edges, and preparing bundles for forklift removal.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Detail oriented.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs continuously.
• Self-motivated, organized and able to multi-task.
• Great attitude.
• Standing for long periods of time, bending and stooping.

Responsibilities

• Build each bundle until full and finish off with a nice top layer.
• Ensure bundles are square with edge boards against the pipes of the cart.
• Push out finished bundle for forklift to remove.
