Job summary

Baillie Lumber Co. in Titusville, PA is hiring General Laborers to join our team at one of North America’s leading hardwood lumber manufacturers. This full-time role offers competitive pay, overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Prior warehouse experience preferred; high school diploma desired but not required. Candidates should be able to lift and move lumber and follow safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Identify the sort numbers for carts and pull boards accordingly.
• Edges must be knot-free, free of defects, and bundles must be square.
• Experience in a warehouse or farm is a plus and high school diploma is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify the sort numbers for carts and pull boards accordingly.
• Pile boards with the longest on top, bottom and outside.
• Ensure bundles are square with edge boards against cart pipes and finish with a top layer.
• Push finished bundles for forklift removal.

General Laborer Summary:

General Laborer Requirements:

• Identify the sort numbers for the carts you are responsible for. Pull boards into the correct carts according to the sort numbers on the boards.


• Pile the boards with the following criteria:Top, bottom and outside boards will be the longest
  
  
  
  • All edges will be free of knots, wane, writing and other defects
  
  
  • Bundle must be square with edge boards against the pipes of the cart
  
  
  • Build each bundle until full and finish off with a nice top layer
  
  
  • Push out finished bundle for forklift to remove
  
  
  
  

General Laborer Education & Experience:

• Previous experience as a warehouse worker preferred


• Previous experience as an entry level worker is preferred


• Previous experience working on a farm is a plus!


• High School degree preferred, but not required
