Join to apply for the Material Handler (Day or Night Shift) role at Specialty Building Products.

Performing various responsibilities in the Pre-hanging/Pre-finishing operation, including material receiving, movement, shipping, and production support.

Essential Functions

1. Manually pick and stage warehouse items at the correct loading dock.
2. Use hand-held scanners to locate and move items to the appropriate dock door.
3. Handle damaged or non-conforming items for reclaim or RTV.
4. Operate forklifts and order pickers as required.
5. Follow safety standards and maintain safety in all activities.
6. Inspect products to meet quality standards.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization on the dock and in aisles.
8. Strive for efficiency without compromising accuracy.
9. Assist in loading and unloading trucks when needed.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of forklift operation experience; cherry picker experience preferred.
• Computer skills are helpful.
• Forklift certification may be advantageous.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Basic math skills.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
