Material Handler, Sheffield Village, OH

Starting Pay is $18.11/hr with a 5% shift differential for Evening/2nd Shift.

Hiring for 1st Shift: 6:45am - 3:15pm; 2nd Shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm.

Some overtime may be available depending on business needs.

As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in our operations, ensuring the delivery of quality products to our customers, impacting people's lives directly.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Unload incoming trailers using hand or electric-powered equipment.
  2. Inspect and store incoming shipments, maintaining proper stock rotation.
  3. Process various types of orders efficiently and accurately.
  4. Operate computers, RF scanners, and power equipment following best practices for workflow.
  5. Prepare shipping documents and ensure data entry into Oracle Warehouse Management Software.
  6. Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations including DOT, OSHA, EPA, EEO, ISO.
  7. Participate in inventory counts and audits, monitor stock levels and shortages.
  8. Attend safety meetings and perform safety observations.
  9. Perform minor maintenance on warehouse equipment.
  10. Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
  11. Assist supervisors and managers with duties and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. 1-2 years warehouse or manufacturing experience.
  2. Basic reading, writing, math, and communication skills.
  3. Experience with hazardous materials is a plus.
  4. Good interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills.
  5. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods.
  6. Forklift and hand-jack experience preferred.
