Job description

Job Title: Dandori (Material Handler)

Department: Production Control - 2050

Reports To: Production Control Supervisor

Direct Reports: None

Status: Onsite Hourly - Indirect Labor

Shifts: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift

Job Summary:

The Dandori TM is responsible for moving finished goods to the warehouse. TM ensures that the finished goods are scanned into the inventory system used by RAG. Safety is a key factor in this role. TM will utilize electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and/or tuggers to bring empty totes to presses and transport finished goods to the proper locations. Maintaining the empty totes area according to the plant layout and following 5S principles is essential. Communication with various departments is crucial. TM will adhere to SWI, learn customer expectations, and escalate issues to their TL or supervisor as needed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor presses and supply totes and racks as required.
  2. Ensure the correct Kanban cards are used for produced items.
  3. Accurately scan Kanban cards to maintain inventory accuracy.
  4. Operate Zebra handheld PC and related equipment.
  5. Ensure finished goods are delivered to proper locations.
  6. Perform daily 5S activities.
  7. Follow correct order selection processes.
  8. Prioritize and organize items in sequence.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED
Experience:
  • At least 6 months of material handling, order selecting, or warehouse experience
  • Forklift experience preferred (minimum 2 years)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Forklift training assessment available after 2 months
Computer Skills:
  • Proficient in using scanning devices for inventory management
Mathematical Abilities:
  • Basic math skills
Analytical or Reasoning Abilities:
  • Basic planning and critical thinking skills, oriented towards continuous improvement
Communication Skills:
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual in English-Spanish preferred
Other Skills:
  • Effective organization and prioritization
  • Attention to detail
  • Initiative and independent work skills
Physical Requirements:
  • Constant activity on the plant floor: walking, standing, lifting, and repetitive motions
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds team lifting, 25 pounds alone
  • Comfortable working in varying climate conditions
Internal Applicants Must:
  • Be outside their 90-day probation and have 6 months in current role
  • Have no active Step 2 or higher issues (attendance or otherwise)
