Shift Details

D shift, nights, 6:45 p.m. - 7:00 a.m., Weds, Thurs, Fri, alternating Sat nights

Position Summary

The employee is responsible for transferring all raw materials used in production, as well as cleaning, hooking up, and starting auxiliary equipment such as blenders, grinders, and hoppers to support production activities. They also perform color changes and changeovers, monitor and maintain material feeding systems, and ensure product safety and quality.

Job Elements & Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all material system filters daily
• Clean hoppers, grinders, blenders, regrind bins, colorant bins, and material hoses during color changes
• Set up and hook up auxiliary equipment
• Perform minor preventative maintenance on auxiliary equipment
• Change colors on molding machines
• Fill surge bins, colorant bins, and hoppers
• Pull, weigh, and return materials
• Monitor inventory of colorant, cartons, bags, pallets, tape, and other supplies; restock as needed
• Move production materials to the warehouse
• Prepare cartons and distribute to presses; maintain adequate supply at each press
• Empty trash and weigh scrap daily
• Analyze and resolve material-related issues
• Grind rejected production materials on and off the floor
• Complete and verify SAP and Mobisys transactions for raw and finished materials
