Job Summary: A material handler ensures the material storage area is organized and fully stocked for production. Team members assist in unloading delivery trucks and verifying materials on such trucks.

Essential Job Duties

1. Operate fork truck to move materials.
2. Spot check incoming product for quality assurance.
3. Work in a team environment to achieve production goals.
4. Assist in unloading daily incoming shipments.
5. Verify materials entering the building by checking parts against the packing list.
6. Ensure all products are organized and readily available for use.
7. Maintain clear aisle ways when storing material.
8. Move material safely with and without an overhead hoist.
9. Differentiate among the different types of materials required to build trailers.
10. Become familiar with the ST numbers associated with all materials used in production.
11. Keep lines stocked with necessary materials for production.
12. Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
13. Pull UPS and IBTs as needed.
14. Assist in other areas as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

1. High School Diploma / GED, or equivalent skills and experiences.
2. Good physical stamina and coordination; able to lift 80 pounds and stand for long periods.
3. Able to work 10-hour shifts with potential overtime.
4. Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check.
5. Ability to manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
