VEKA - North America is hiring a Material Handler in Compounding for its site in Fombell, PA. You will maintain raw material and finished goods inventories, perform forklift safety checks, and support material flow across floors while ensuring accurate ingredient tracking.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a Certified Fork Truck Operator License, plus the ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts with differential pay. VEKA offers comprehensive benefits and retirement plans.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain raw material and finished goods inventory per VEKA standards.
• Perform daily forklift safety checks and drive to designated floors.
• Stock and deliver raw materials to floors/bins and ensure proper placement.
• Enter ingredient data (name, lot, date, pounds) into data files.
• Collaborate with shift supervisor to ensure correct bins and notify changes.
• Unloading railcars and daily railcar inventory and TrackMobile safety checks.
• Maintain housekeeping of work areas for a clean, safe environment.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job Details

VEKA, a national leader in the vinyl extrusion industry, is accepting applications for a Material Handler in Compounding for our site in Fombell, PA.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining raw material and finished goods inventory according to VEKA established standards enabling VEKA to provide a quality product/service to ensure customer satisfaction.

Primary Duties

• Responsible for daily forklift safety checks.
• Stocks and delivers raw materials to the correct floors and bins. 6th floor, 4th floor, and 3rd floor.
• Responsible for placing empty supersacks on pallet and uses banter to strap sacks to pallet to be returned to vendor
• Enters all ingredients into a data file with the following information: ingredient name, lot number, date, and pounds.
• Collaborates with shift supervisor to assure all raw materials are in the correct bins and the supervisors are notified of any changes.
• Responsible for railcar sampling
• Responsible for daily railcar inventory
• Responsible for daily TrackMobile safety checks
• Responsible and able to unload railcars. Makes sure resin is being unloaded at all times.
• Responsible for housekeeping of Tower, Mezzanine, Rail Car unloading Area and Entire Compound Plant ensuring a clean and safe work environment
• All other duties as assigned.

Education

Physical Demands

• Must be able to move objects up to 50 pounds

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, push, pull for extended periods of time, occasionally kneeling and bending

NOTE: This is a 12-hour rotating shift schedule. Shift differential: additional $1.00 between the hours of 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm; additional $1.50 between the hours of 7:00 pm - 7:00 am.
