Job Description

Operates an electric powered tugger/ forklift to load / unload correct components onto a cart and take to each assigned assembly line or put away in racks. Moves correct components to and from designated storage areas safely. Bring back any empty returnable totes and stack them on the designated return skid outside of the component cage.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Responsible for 5S (Sort, Shine, Set in Order, Standardize, and Sustain)

  • Responsible for KANBAN cards and locations

  • Any missing KANBAN cards are to be reported to Supervisor or Team Lead daily

  • Verify part number and quantity vs JDE label

  • Understand that the component cage and racks are a controlled area

  • Assist with tote breakdown, skids, and baskets

  • Communication with rack & cage personnel for needed parts

  • Communication during shift change about pertinent information

  • Maintaining correct stock levels on assembly lines

  • Any other duties assigned by team leader or supervisor



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:



  • 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Prior experience driving tugger/forklift preferred

  • Excellent verbal & written communications skills

  • Good problem solving skills

  • High School Diploma
