JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary: The material handler receiving position is responsible for the incoming of material, managing inventory, and maintaining plant organization.

Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Load/unload trucks.
  • Verify incoming materials.
  • Data entry.
  • Plant organization.
  • Participate month end inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts in AS/400.
  • Manage materials in multiple locations.
  • Release materials from vendors.
  • Issue purchase orders.
  • Cycle count materials.
  • Takes responsibility of work area to produce a safe and quality food product.
  • Report all food safety and quality related problems to your manager and to the QA department to initiate immediate action.

Supervisory Responsibility: No.

Other Experience and Qualifications:
  • Required education high school diploma or GED; or 1 to 3 months' experience: or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Class A driver's license.
  • Lift Truck Certification (walk behind and rider).
  • Requires the ability to print and speak simple English sentences.
  • Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
  • Requires the ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds.
  • Requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
