Job summary

The Wasserstrom Company is the leading Food Service Distributor, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. We are seeking a Material Handler to load/unload shipments, verify items with RF scanning, and manage pallet movements within our Columbus Distribution Center.

Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Forklift experience is preferred but not required. Shifts start early, with Saturdays required when needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• 1-2 years forklift experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload product shipments from trucks to shipping/receiving platform.
• Pick/put-away/count product from/to racking in case or pallet quantities.
• Verify item/quantity/location using RF scanner or pick label.
• Operate motorized equipment safely and efficiently.

Saturdays required when needed.

This position is responsible for loading and/or unloading product shipments from trucks to shipping/receiving platform, picking/put-away/counting product from/to racking in case or pallet quantities, utilizing RF scanner and/or pick label to verify item/quantity/location to pick and/or receive, and operating of multiple pieces of motorized equipment in a safe and proper manner.

Wasserstrom offers first shift starting at 4am and 11am. Monday-Friday work schedule with Saturdays required when needed.

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. and the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 1 - 2 years previous forklift experience preferred but not required.
