Job description

Title: Warehouse Staff I and II

Location / Department: Warehouse Department

Reports To: Supervisor, Warehouse

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Basic Job Functions:

Responsible for performing the physical unloading, loading, transfer, storage, shipping, physical handling and movement of all materials throughout Accupac’s warehouse facilities.


Essential Functions of the Job:

  1. Warehouse Staff level and compensation will be determined by successful completion and verification of levels in the Warehouse Skill Level Chart.
  2. Load and unload trucks/trailers.
  3. Prepare materials for proper identification, sampling, and warehouse storage.
  4. Bar Code ticketing of all materials as per established procedures.
  5. Verify and sign delivery carrier’s Bills of Lading.
  6. Locate and transfer materials between the warehouse, manufacturing, and production areas.
  7. Verify, count and inventory materials.
  8. Accurately report material locations through the effective use of the Bar Code Inventory System. Includes efficient use of Intermec PC unit.
  9. Proper daily maintenance and care of all warehouse materials handling equipment.
  10. Maintain constant good housekeeping and cleanliness in accordance with all cGMP and FDA regulations. Adhere to all Department and Company SOP’s.
  11. Accurately complete all Receiving Reports, Trailer Inspection Forms, Inter-company Transfer Sheets, Finished Goods Audit Lists, and distribute paperwork accordingly.
  12. Effectively verify and load outbound trailers (common carrier, contract, air freight).
  13. Stretch wrap pallets of raw materials, packaging components and finished goods.
  14. Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
  15. Accurately enter receiving reports into Accuterm.

Minimum Requirements of the Job:

  1. Able to operate, in an efficient and safe manner, assigned sit-down or stand-up power forklift and industrial equipment to move and store materials throughout the production plant and warehouses.
  2. Possess basic math skills sufficient to count and reconcile materials.
  3. Possess the ability to read and interpret instructional signs and warning placards.
  4. Possess experience in trailer loading/unloading and truck dock operations.
  5. Able to follow instructions, get along well with others and work in a team environment.
  6. Able to be conscientious, hardworking and detail oriented.
  7. Able to work different shifts, hours, and overtime on short notice.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Able to sustain a minimum of one (1) hour of strenuous activity.
  2. Able to lift 50 lbs. from the floor to waist level.
  3. Able to carry a container weighing up to 50-100 lbs. up a flight of stairs.
  4. Able to move containers physically “off of” and “on to” pallets.
  5. Possess peripheral and color vision.
  6. Able to work different scheduled hours/shifts/days and overtime to meet the manufacturing schedule.
  7. Able to stand/walk on cement floors for 10-40% of the workday.
  8. Able to sit 41-75% of workday.
  9. Able to bend/stoop 41-75% of workday.

Education and/or Experience: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Prefer previous experience working in a warehouse environment. Prefer previous experience operating sit-down and stand-up power forklifts.
