Job summary

Briggs & Stratton seeks a Material Handler to support inbound/outbound material flows and order fulfillment at our Auburn, AL site. You will resolve material processing exceptions and coordinate with multiple departments to keep orders and shipments on track.

The role requires forklift operation, basic Excel/SAP usage, and fluent English. Prior material handling experience is preferred and physical demands include frequent lifting and standing.

• Previous material handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resolves exceptions to incoming materials processing.
• Processes customer returns in business related software and work with other departments to resolve.
• Monitors production and insure sufficient inventory is on-hand and available as needed.
• Works with various departments to fulfill customer needs including maintaining customer orders and expediting incoming orders.
• Responsible for the coordination of, and accuracy of cycle counting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Some physical demand; often lifts light weight material. Rarely lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.

Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)

Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours)

Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)

Exposure to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
