WECTEC STAFFING IS CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR MATERIAL HANDLERS FOR THE UPCOMING 2024 OUTAGE AT BRUNSWICK

Material Handler

Perform material handling functions in and around the station following established company standards and procedures. Tasks may include simple hand tasks or operating large industrial equipment to move materials within site buildings and structures. This role supports the local Site Coordinator and is primarily associated with nuclear station outage activities. Candidates should assess tasks for safety, proper equipment use, and compliance with procedures. Prior experience at a Duke Power nuclear facility is preferred.

Education / Training Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Meet all requirements to maintain unescorted access
• Pass initial and annual Radiation Worker Training
• Minimum of five years mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial setting (or three years if specifically in rigging/crane operations)
• Specific training includes: Pendent Crane, Site Specific Maintenance Procedures, Basic Rigging (Duke Power specific), Scaffold Installation/Removal, Independent Component Verification
