Material Handler

Immediate opportunities are available for talented Material Handlers who want to become part of the Johnson Controls team.

This position reports to and works closely with the Receiving & Warehouse Supervisor to assist in the receiving and warehouse operations. You will perform a variety of functions to move supplies, materials, and equipment to and from the receiving, warehouse, and manufacturing areas of the plant. Organizational skills and effective communication are essential. Additionally, you should have a working knowledge of the SAP system functions.

Pay

$20/h + $1.25 shift differential

3 PM - 11:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

  • Receive, count, visually inspect, and verify part numbers on materials and equipment.
  • Monitor assigned queues for requested materials and report discrepancies.
  • Check materials for defects and report to supervisors.
  • Safely move materials using forklifts, ensuring proper recording in SAP.
  • Conduct yard inventory, dock audits, and cycle counts.
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance and safety checks on forklifts.
  • Manage truck loading/unloading and operate overhead cranes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of SAP related to material movements

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods
  • Capability to work in various industrial conditions
