Staff Management | SMX is seeking an organized individual to join as a Material Handler in Chattanooga, TN. This opportunity offers a starting pay rate of $20/hr with the potential for a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a pay increase to $21/hr after 90 days.

Our client is looking for an organized individual who will flourish in a fast-paced environment to join their team as a Material Handler! This opportunity offers a pay rate of $20/hr with a $1,000 Sign-Bonus (per eligibility requirements) and a pay increase to $21/Hr after 90 days, conversion to a full-time associate.

• 1st Shift (Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM (occasional overtime)

Shifts: 1st Shift.

Employment Types: Full Time, Temp to Hire.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour

Duties:

• Responsible for performing general warehouse duties based

• Responsible for accurately shipping and receiving Company products, both physically and through computer systems

• Perform duties in both the Shipping, Receiving and Returns areas

• Conduct inventory cycle counts

• Perform transactions in company systems

• Perform special projects, as required, to assist the department and the Company in achieving its goals and objectives

Position Requirements:

• Ability to safely operate a forklift

• Some computer skills a plus

• Demonstrated reading comprehension skills

• Demonstrated math aptitude

• Acquired and demonstrated product knowledge sufficient to identify individual models

• Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently

• Communicates well with others

• HS Diploma or GED

Requirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Must be at least 18 years old.Able to Lift 50 pounds., required education: HS Diploma or GED.
