Job summary

Altium Packaging is seeking a Material Handler in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials to designated staging areas, operating a forklift, and ensuring safety procedures are followed in a loud production environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting materials for quality, preparing materials for grinding, and maintaining cleanliness of the ramp and dock areas. Overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to meet physical demands including standing and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic reading and math skills for material handling.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift to unload inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Visually inspect materials and report discrepancies in quality.
  • Prepare materials for grinding and transport to staging areas.
  • Transport and store materials, finished products and supplies in designated areas.
  • Keep ramp, dock and compactor area clean and orderly.
  • Overtime may be required due to business needs.

Location Address:4239 N 39th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85019Work Shift:12hr - B Shift 7p-7:30a Phoenix (United States of America)The Material Handler receives, stores and distributes raw materials and supplies to designated staging areas.JOB SUMMARY:The Material Handler receives, stores and distributes raw materials and supplies to designated staging areas.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.Operate forklift to unload inbound and outbound shipments.Visually inspect materials and report discrepancies in quality.Prepare materials for grinding process.Transport and store materials, finished products and supplies to appropriate staging area. Report locations for proper labeling.Transport scrapped materials from production line to the grinder area.Maintain cleanliness of ramp, dock and compactor area.Other duties as assigned by managementKeep assigned work area clean and orderly and dispose of scrap material properly.Perform all work in order to ensure the safety of yourself and all other plant personnel.Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.QUALIFICATIONS:The requirements listed below are minimum requirements for the job.
