Essential Duties

Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs all work in a safe manner; promotes and fosters a clean, safe work environment.
  • Able to charge batteries and refuel propane on lift truck.
  • Supplies production with products, services and materials as needed.
  • Operates automatic packaging machines, forklifts, conveyors and maintains taping and labeling containers.
  • Load variety of trucks such as vans, flat bed trailers, less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments and intermodal.
  • Completes daily inspection on lift equipment, reports any associated maintenance problems and maintains proper fuel levels (battery or gas).

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Product Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistleblower service.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent plus one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or similar job/environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and ability.

Must Be Able To

  • Flexible Scheduling: Work eight (8) or twelve (12) hour shifts and overtime as needed.

  • Reading and Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Writing Skills: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Communication: Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures by using basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Certificate/License: Must have forklift operator license at time of hire/transfer or be able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire/transfer into job.
