Job summary

Generac is seeking a Material Handler to pick warehouse parts and deliver them to assembly areas, supporting production in meeting customer demand. You will work under supervision to uphold Safety, Quality, CI and Productivity.

Positions range from Material Handler I–III with 0–5 years experience; requires detail, teamwork, basic PC skills, and ability to operate forklift and ERP entry. Typical schedule is 6:00am-2:00pm Mon-Fri with overtime and Saturdays; $20.85 per hour.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience

• Ability to identify and resolve basic problems
• Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math function

• Ability to enter/maintain/transact materials in company ERP program
• Ability to operate all forklift or other equipment to transport materials
• Previous experience coaching and training other employees
• Experience leading and forming teams

Responsibilities

• Work under general supervision with well-defined tasks while following company procedures, processes, and policies.
• Participates in metric boards measuring Safety, Quality, CI, and Productivity and work is reviewed for accuracy.
• Complete and retain all required training
• May resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisors depending on the level and complexity.
• Contacts are typically with immediate supervisor and other members of the team in the immediate organization.
• Participate in 5S programs that are based on visual control to determine if an area is normal or abnormal.
• Complete forklift daily per procedure
• Good attendance is expected per policy
