Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a Material Handler to support production by picking warehoused parts and delivering to assembly areas. You will work 7:00am-3:00pm, Monday-Friday, with overtime as needed, at a pay rate of $22.60/hour.

You will follow procedures, operate forklift, and collaborate with the production team to optimize materials, safety, and quality. The role offers growth through hands-on training and exposure to multiple areas of the plant.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in material handling or similar
• Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures, processes, or policies.
• Operate a forklift or other equipment to transport materials within the facility.
• Developing a good knowledge of the company and may be assigned to projects for career development.
• Learning the principles, practices, and processes in the function or discipline.
• Developing the business knowledge required for the full job.
• May resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisor depending on the level and complexity.
• Follows defined procedures and practices.
• Contacts are typically with immediate supervisor and other members of the team in the immediate organization.
• Flex across different products and areas to support business needs.
• Perform forklift daily inspections.
• Accepts responsibility for own actions, follows through on commitments.
• Participate in team meetings and exchange job related information.
• Demonstrates attention to detail, attendance, and quality.
• Perform safe and effective operation of all equipment needed to perform job function.
• Practice safe working habits, following safety guidelines to operation and support of company initiatives.
• Know the basic functions of the ERP system.
• May assist in training of new employees or employees learning new work areas to work instructions/standard work.
• Actively understands and participates with the Drive to Zero program.
• Other duties as assigned.
