Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech? Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for a Material Handler 4 Shuttle Driver, 1st Shift. Overtime is available as needed.

Job Location: Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Receive, load, and deliver various raw materials, machinery, supplies, etc. to Plants 2, 4, 6, 8 and 14 in Columbus.
  • A significant amount of recycling materials are picked up daily then prepares materials for pickup by reclaim companies.
  • Transportation of hazardous materials.
  • Operation of company vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, floor sweeper, recycling compactors is required.
  • More than normal amount of manual labor is involved with loading and unloading the shuttle truck throughout the day in an environment that is not air-conditioned.
  • Understands all processes and specification within the department and reports to Supervisor any discrepancies not in line with specifications.
  • Reports any machine breakdowns to the Supervisor and/or maintenance and reports any tool shortages or tools in need of repair.
  • Performs daily checks on company vehicles and forklift to assure everything is running properly.
  • Reports any safety concerns to Supervisor.

What You Will Bring Along

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • CLD class C with Hazmat preferred.
  • Forklift certified. Will train and provide classes if not already certified.
  • One to two years of experience preferred.
  • SAP and Computer knowledge preferred.
  • Must satisfactorily complete annual HazWoper training.
  • Complete emergency contingency plan training within six months of hire when dealing with hazardous waste.
  • Complete hazardous waste management procedures (RCRA) training within six months of hire when dealing with hazardous waste.

Physical Demands, Work Environment And Required Safety Equipment

  • Moderate to heavy lifting required in an environment that is not air-conditioned.
  • Climbing, pushing, pulling, etc. required throughout the shift.
