Hoffer Plastics is hiring for "Material Handler", "3rd shift".

Play a key role in producing plastic components that make everyday life possible, from transportation to food packaging to healthcare.

The Material Handler position is responsible for performing mold repair and modifications as directed to meet customer specifications.

Starting Pay $17.50 -19.00 (based on experience) + 8 % Shift premium

3rd Shift Hours are 12:00am - 8:00am

Responsibilities

  • Mix resins, colors, and lubricants; maintains adequate material supplies by filling hoppers
  • Fill skids as needed and moves finished goods into warehouse by accurately completing inventory transactions
  • Clean auxiliary equipment
  • Transport molds to and from storage areas and/or Tool Rooms
  • May assist with mold changes under direct supervision
  • Promote safety by abiding by all related policies and procedures
  • Help maintain 5S and cleanliness in the Plant by doing assigned cleaning tasks
  • May assume operator tasks as assigned
  • Understand the importance of reducing scrap and follows Plant management instructions
  • Make boxes and supply packaging to presses
  • Move materials using power pallet jack and forklift.
  • All team members shall:
    • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
    • Continue to grow job specific knowledge and use tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.
    • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

Physcial Requirements

The incumbent will:

  • usually stand/walk most of their work day
  • sometimes lift above the waist up to 30lbs and occasional lift below waist up to 75lbs
  • occasionally move, push and/or pull up to 50lbs
  • occasionally use hands to finger or handle product/materials and foot for pedal controls on forklift
  • occasionally bend at waist, twist, turn climb, stoop and/or kneel/crouch
  • occasionally required to sit

Qualifications
