Job description

The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and equipment, ensuring correct delivery and shipment of materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform work within takt/cycle time
2. Perform work per work instructions
3. Provide and process movement of material to the point of use
4. Keep work area clean by disposing of empty boxes and cardboard, and maintaining order and neatness around the assembly line
5. Inform proper personnel of material shortages
6. Check in and place materials from other cells
7. Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area
8. Practice 6S

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and blueprints
• Basic math skills
• Certified forklift operator

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in material handling
