Job summary

Silk Road Technologies Canada is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our Grand Ledge, Michigan team. You will operate powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently, unload and stack materials, and support loading/unloading onto trucks.

You will conduct daily safety and operational checks, maintain accurate inventory on the floor, and assist in continuous improvement initiatives. Strong attendance, safety mindset, and ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent attendance and safety records required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team.
• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience operating equipment and following safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates Powered Industrial Truck safely and efficiently and in accordance with MIOSHA and company standards.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Loads and unloads racks and/or containers onto trucks.
• Inventories materials on work floor.
• Weighs material/products, records weight on tags, labels and/or production schedules.
• Loads/unloads materials onto and/or off pallets, skids or lifting device.
• Ensures correct tagging is on all containers prior to moving.
• Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment.
• Completes safety and operational checks daily.
• Help in departmental operation wherever necessary.
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities.
• Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.
