Job summary

RRD is seeking a warehouse associate to lay up, feed, and move materials in a 3rd shift operation from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Mon–Thu. You will stack, package, label, and track stock, using banding, shrink-wrap and forklift as needed.

The role involves operating various hand tools and lift equipment, stocking and rotating items per procedures, and completing stock documentation. Benefits include standard medical and 401(k) offerings and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse operations and safe material handling.
  • Ability to operate and move stock with equipment as needed.
  • Familiarity with packing, strapping, labeling and inventory processes.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for laying up, feeding or piling down materials at equipment.
  • Jog product off counter stacker and stack neatly on skid to assure good running in bindery or mailing department.
  • Complete skid flags and packaging slips to ensure accurate tracking.
  • Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers
  • Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together, using banding machine and clincher
  • May use automated equipment and/or occasionally operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products
  • Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions
  • Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials
  • Good skill in the use of shrink-wrap and strapping equipment, powered lift equipment, pallet jacks, manual dollies, carts or hand trucks and hand tools used in material handling tasks such as hammers, pliers, strapping and stretch wrapping tools and equipment, tape fasteners, metal band sheers and related equipment
  • Good knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification codes, basic warehouse procedures, and the storage areas in order to be able to place or pull paper stock, signatures and materials in accordance with standard procedures
  • May require experience in operating/using forklift truck.

Compensation: Starting Pay: $16.00/hr - $18.18/hr 3rd Shift Differential: $2/hr

Available Shifts: 3rd Shift: 7:00 PM - 5:00 AM Monday - Thursday

Job Duties

The national pay range for this role is $16.00/hr to 18.18/hr. There may also be a shift differentia of up to 2$/hr depending on shift assignment. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
