About The Position

We are seeking a motivated material handler to join our company. This position is responsible for executing safety standards, achieving daily productivity goals while meeting quality requirements, performing routine maintenance, and assisting with non-routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Follow Triple-S safe methods of work at all times and report unsafe conditions.
• Safely move steel to and from storage or production areas using various equipment.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds for up to 25 feet, and exert force as needed.
• Apply proper bundling techniques and configure loads.
• Maximize load capacity on trailers safely.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment safely.
• Identify safety issues and report them promptly.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Maintain spatial awareness and coordinate with team members.
• Attend all required meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read work orders and receive instructions accurately.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards safely.
• Plan and organize work independently and in teams.
• Develop knowledge of product and inventory control.
• Maintain communication across departments.
• Demonstrate basic math skills.
• Customer relations skills may be required.

Physical Requirements

• Use hands/fingers, handle objects, talk, and hear.
• Occasionally stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Have specific vision abilities including close and distance vision.
