Job summary

Judd Wire Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, seeks a 3rd Shift Material Handler to support wire and cable preparation for shipping. Duties include moving materials, weighing scrap, and maintaining equipment in a safe, clean workspace in Turners Falls, MA.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic arithmetic, and the ability to operate a forklift and measuring tools. PIV training will be provided after hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-3 month’s transferrable experience.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Be a team player, enjoy detailed work and willing to learn.
• Knowledge of ordinary arithmetic including decimals, fractions, and simple use of specifications with adjustable measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Work from material movement documents, written and verbal instructions, and computer scanning device, records and forms.
• Transfer wire from one location to another as instructed by movement documents and/or written or verbal instructions either manually or fork truck.
• Ensure proper transfer of product.
• Maintain reels and pallets as needed for assigned operations.
• Weigh and record scrap as required.
• Detect and report defective materials, malfunctioning equipment, unusual conditions to supervision.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations. Maintain equipment and work areas in clean and orderly condition.

Material Handler 3rd Shift

Judd Wire Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a 3rd Shift Material Handler in our Turners Falls, MA facility. Individuals will be responsible for a variety of duties including: Performing required operations connected with measuring, inspecting, testing and re-spooling wire and cable in preparation for shipping r its next operation.

Hiring Range: $19.81-23.44/hour, $3.00/hour 3rd shift differential

Job Duties

• Work from material movement documents, written and verbal instructions, and computer scanning device, records and forms.
• Transfer wire from one location to another as instructed by movement documents and/or written or verbal instructions either manually or fork truck.
