Job summary

Raytheon is hiring a Material Handler III – Stores WIP at our Farmington, NM facility. This onsite role supports production through material movement, accurate inventory control, and strict adherence to safety standards.

You will perform kitting, packaging, and material issuance, operate forklifts, and monitor stock levels to keep production flowing. U.S. citizenship is required; relocation is not offered. This role is within the Stores/WIP group at the Raytheon Dine Facility.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in material handling or warehouse operations.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program/contract access restrictions.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform kitting, material handling, and presentation of parts to production operators at designated locations.
• Execute inventory and material control tasks, including proper packaging and issuing material based on parts lists.
• Operate forklifts, dollies, and other equipment to transport material within the factory.
• Determine proper material storage locations, primarily in line‑flow staging and point‑of‑use areas.
• Coordinate and monitor material availability to support workflow; assist with scheduling and prioritizing activities.
• Expedite material as needed to ensure continuous production flow.
• Perform physical and cycle counts; investigate and resolve inconsistencies.
• Identify process issues or delays and communicate effectively with leadership.
• Maintain records accurately and ensure work correctness.
• Follow all operating procedures, safety requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Provide peer guidance to Material Handler I/II staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned to maintain product flow.

The Material Handler III – Stores WIP performs advanced material movement and inventory control tasks supporting production operations. Working under guidance from supervision and work queue assignments issued by the Stores Lead, this role follows work instruction procedures and executes a wide variety of tasks involving the movement of materials from Stores to the production floor. This position ensures accuracy, compliance, and timely flow of materials throughout the site.

This is a first-shift, onsite position located at the Raytheon Dine Facility in Farmington, NM.

What You Will Do:

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a related field.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to access restrictions under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Valid state driver’s license.
• Analytical and interactive skills; computer literacy is required.
• Proficiency with inventory systems and basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Windows 95 or newer, database/test software).
• Ability to understand and follow written instructions.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Customer‑focused, well organized, and capable of multitasking.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide status updates as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods.
• Able to work in hot and cold working conditions as required.
