Job description

Our client is currently seeking a Material Handler / Rewind Operator to support operations on the shop floor. This position is critical in maintaining efficient warehouse flow and supporting production teams by ensuring timely movement and preparation of materials. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Pack products according to detailed instructions and check for container damage.

  • Perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

  • Use power industrial equipment to move completed packages for loading.

  • Operate and troubleshoot the Arpeco or Rewind Table and resolve basic equipment issues.

  • Stack and pile finished goods into appropriate containers.

  • Remove defective products from material flow and escalate issues to the Team Leader.

  • Assist with unloading deliveries, staging products for production, and maintaining organized warehouse stock.

  • Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns immediately.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Basic reading and math skills essential.

  • Must be dependable with strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain good attendance.

  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50–100 lbs.

  • Experience operating sit-down tow motors, electric pallet jacks, and manual pallet jacks (manual units require pushing/pulling throughout the shift).

Working Conditions:

  • Shop floor environment; physical activity required.

  • Position involves standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.

    2nd Shift – Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
