Our client in Wickliffe has immediate openings for 2nd Shift Material Handlers (#COH).

Responsibilities & Expectations:

1. Operate forklift safely; must be licensed. Capable of lifting/moving 5,000-10,000 lbs.
2. Follow all safety guidelines and proper equipment operation.
3. Complete assigned tasks promptly.
4. Make routine decisions; troubleshoot basic banding and packaging issues or seek supervisor assistance.
5. Accurately document Bill of Lading, incoming steel, and outgoing finished products; safely load/unload trucks.
6. Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment.
7. Maintain teamwork and communication across shifts.
8. Package parts and band bundles according to procedures.
9. Ensure proper banding and packaging of finished bundles; address discrepancies with supervisors or quality team.

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of material handling and safety guidelines.
• Competency in basic shop math.
• Ability to work with various metal forming constraints with guidance.
• Flexible, responsive, and team-oriented.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements:

• Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours daily.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull 1-50 lbs frequently.
• Squat, kneel, bend, twist, grasp, and reach regularly.
• Work in environments with temperatures of 65-88°F.
• Wear hearing, vision, hand protection, steel-toed shoes, and other PPE in a fast-paced industrial setting.
