Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a tow motor/forklift to move materials throughout the facility.
  • Load and unload trucks with incoming materials and finished products.
  • Move large and oddly shaped materials through production areas and aisles.
  • Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs using proper equipment.
  • Complete daily equipment inspections and periodic maintenance checks.
  • Maintain accurate Bill of Lading and material records.
  • Package and band finished products per procedures.

Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Location: Wickliffe, OH
Pay: $21.50/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday-Thursday, 2:15 PM-12:45 AM

Hire Sync is hiring a Material Handler for a well-established manufacturing company in Wickliffe, OH. This is a great opportunity for an experienced material handler who is comfortable operating a tow motor and safely moving large, heavy, and uniquely shaped materials in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has experience handling oversized or awkward materials and understands the importance of safety, precision, and careful equipment operation. Candidates with experience loading and unloading large equipment, steel, fabricated materials, or other non-standard loads are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do
  • Safely operate a tow motor/forklift to move materials throughout the facility
  • Load and unload trucks with incoming materials and finished products
  • Move large and oddly shaped materials safely through production areas and aisles
  • Lift and move materials ranging from 5-10,000 pounds using proper equipment and procedures
  • Complete daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance checks
  • Accurately complete and maintain Bill of Lading documentation and material records
  • Package and band finished products according to company procedures
  • Identify and resolve basic packaging or banding issues and communicate concerns when needed
  • Follow all safety guidelines and equipment operating procedures
  • Work closely with team members across shifts to ensure smooth operations
  • Complete assigned work accurately and efficiently
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of manufacturing or material handling experience
  • Prior tow motor/forklift experience required
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Experience handling large, heavy, or awkwardly shaped materials preferred
  • Strong understanding of safe material handling practices
  • Basic shop math skills
  • Ability to read and complete basic documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make routine decisions
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on safety and quality
  • Ability to sit and stand throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Steel-toe boots required
