Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Wendell, NC is seeking a Junior Material Handler to manage the efficient movement of materials, receiving, shipping, storage, and inventory using SAP and RF scanners. You will work a 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM shift with a base pay of $19.00 per hour plus a $1.50 shift differential.

The role requires forklift experience, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and solid English communication. A High School diploma and legal US work authorization are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in material management (warehousing).
• 2+ years’ experience driving a forklift, order picker and stand up.
• Must be able to lift parts up to 50 lbs.
• Basic proficiency in English reading, writing and speaking.
• Legally authorized for US employment without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down forklifts in high-traffic areas and narrow aisles.
• Count and verify incoming materials and pick materials using RF scanners with accuracy.
• Pack and ship materials, ensure proper documentation to drivers.
• Proficient with small hand tools and maintain safety standards.
• Work independently with attention to detail and report to supervisor.

About Electrification & Automation:

The Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.

We are looking for a Material Handler to join our team. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials, including receiving, shipping, storage, picking, delivery, and inventory management.

Shift Hours: 3:00PM- 11:30PM

Hourly Rate:$19.00 + $1.50 shift differential

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience in material management (warehousing)
• 2+ years’ experience driving a forklift, order picker and stand up.
• Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with SAP system
• Experience with RF Scanner devices
• Proficient with MS Office applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook

You’ll make an impact by:

• Safely operate stand-up reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down forklifts in high-traffic areas and narrow aisles, while unloading and receiving production materials and recording them in SAP.
• Count and verify incoming materials in the storeroom and pick materials for internal and external customers using RF scanners with accuracy.
• Efficiently pack and ship materials damage-free, load outgoing shipments, and ensure proper documentation is provided to drivers.
• Proficient with small hand tools, including battery, electrical, and air-powered tools.
• Adhere to all safety rules, follow established processes and methods, and actively seek improvement opportunities.
• Work independently with strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.

The pay for this position is $19.00 per hour, plus an additional $1.50 shift differential. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
