Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Junior Material Handler for the Wendell, NC area on 1st shift. You will move materials, receive, store, pick, and ship items, and manage inventory in SAP.

The role requires forklift experience, 3+ years in warehousing, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The position runs 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with pay at $19 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in material management (warehousing).
• 2+ years driving forklift, order picker and stand up.
• Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies up to 50 lbs.
• Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down forklifts in high-traffic areas and narrow aisles; unload and record materials in SAP.
• Count and verify incoming materials in the storeroom and pick materials for internal/external customers using RF scanners with accuracy.
• Efficiently pack and ship materials, load outgoing shipments, and ensure drivers have proper documentation.
• Proficient with small hand tools (battery, electrical, air-powered) and follow safety rules and processes.
• Work independently with attention to detail and a sense of urgency; assist supervisor as needed.

We are looking for a Material Handler I to join our 1st shift team. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials, including receiving, shipping, storage, picking, delivery, and inventory management.

Shift Hours:6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Hourly Rate:$19.00

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience in material management (warehousing)
• 2+ years’ experience driving a forklift, order picker and stand up.
• Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with SAP system
• Experience with RF Scanner devices
• Proficient with MS Office applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook

You’ll make an impact by:

• Count and verify incoming materials in the storeroom and pick materials for internal and external customers using RF scanners with accuracy.
• Efficiently pack and ship materials damage-free, load outgoing shipments, and ensure proper documentation is provided to drivers.
• Proficient with small hand tools, including battery, electrical, and air-powered tools.
• Adhere to all safety rules, follow established processes and methods, and actively seek improvement opportunities.
• Work independently with strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
