Tramec Plastics & Composites in Wellington, Kansas is seeking a Material Handler to support our injection molding business on 2nd shift. The successful candidate should have leadership skills, be dependable, and possess basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with department employees, management, and maintenance.
• Verify correctness of necessary supplies/materials brought to the production floor.
• Conduct line clearances and the associated documentation.
• Supply/set-up material and components to the different assembly/machine stations/lines.
• Maintain a low absenteeism record.
• Verify readiness of machine and support equipment prior to production.
• Fill out labels of materials being used.
• Perform general housekeeping/cleaning.
• Work without close supervision.
• Perform other duties as determined by supervision/management.
• Clean material conveyance and grinding equipment during changeovers.
• Work at a fast pace keeping multiple machines stocked with material and supplies.
• Relieve machine operators during break times.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Ability to read, write, count, and use maintenance tools.
• Ability to lift materials, finished goods and move equipment during batch changeovers and as necessary.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to drive a forklift and pass a certification test.
• Good interpersonal skills.
