Job Summary

Material Handler – 2nd Shift – Amsterdam, NY.

Responsibilities

• Unload and stage incoming shipments with various MHE equipment.
• Prepare and break down inbound shipments for accuracy validation.
• Put away product into correct locations via MHE equipment.
• Pull orders accurately via paper or electronic orders using MHE equipment.
• Operate forklift and/or related material moving equipment to designated areas.
• Perform general warehouse housekeeping, including sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash.
• Follow all safety procedures in operating equipment and performing job duties.

Shift

2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm.

Work Authorization

Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

• Ability to safely operate a forklift and use a computer operating system to track inventory.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work as a team member and independently.
• Flexibility to perform a variety of job assignments.
• Familiarity with basic computer operations.
• Mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals, to follow instructions.
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks.
• Adherence to safety procedures.
• Prior warehouse/receiving experience.
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
• Capability to remain in a stationary position regularly.
• Experience constantly operating machinery and handling products, including print materials.
• Ability to move inside the facility frequently.
• Capacity to move up to 25 pounds or more (lift, push, pull, and/or carry).

Preferred

• Experience in a production related environment.
• Some experience in the field or in a related area.

Compensation

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $16.25 (+ shift differential). The actual base offered depends on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
