Job summary

Dymax, based in Torrington, Connecticut, is seeking a Material Handler to coordinate material transfers, stage materials, and support daily shipments. You will work closely with departments to ensure material availability and proper waste handling in compliance with EH&S policies.

Compensation is $22 per hour with hours from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The role requires high attention to detail, strong organization, and forklift operation. Dymax offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in material processing.
  • Ability to operate powered material handling equipment.
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass physical for driving a box truck.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all material transfers in the E1 system.
  • Physically move raw materials, parts, and finished goods to their locations.
  • Stage parts and raw materials within E1 and in operations/work stations.
  • Stage finished goods for daily shipments.
  • Coordinate all materials with department managers and Production Manager.
  • Load oven with raw material and transfer materials electronically.
  • Monitor Kanban cards for reorder points.
  • Handle and organize hazardous and non-hazardous waste per EH&S policies.

About You

We're seeking a resulted-focused, innovative, self-driven and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as a Material Handler. Based out of our Torrington Connecticut location, you will be expected to communicate between all departments concerning availability of incoming raw materials or components, QC information, and batch manufacturing information. You will:

  • Handle all material transfers in the E1 system
  • Physically move raw materials, parts, and finished goods to their appropriate location
  • Stage parts and raw materials within E1 and physically in operations in warehouse areas and at work stations
  • Stage finished goods within E1 and physically in finished good staging areas for daily shipments
  • Coordinate all materials as assigned by department managers in conjunction with the Production Manager.
  • Load oven with raw material for scheduled work and transfer materials electronically
  • Monitor Kanban cards to ensure purchasing is aware of material reorder points
  • Handle and organize hazardous and non-hazardous waste collection areas in accordance to current EH&S policies
Requirements

You should have:

  • Must demonstrate computer skills, experience with E1 a plus.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Work experience in material processing required.
  • Must be qualified to operate powered material handling equipment and handle hazardous waste and non-hazardous waste.
  • Good mathematical and organizational skills.
  • This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organization, communication and problem solving skills, the ability to hold a high level of confidentiality and good judgment.
  • Must be competent in driving a fork truck.
  • Clean driving record, and ability to pass the physical for driving a box truck

Compensation: $22 per hour

Hours: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM
