This position involves handling steel materials by reading and executing work orders to meet customer requirements promptly. It is a nonexempt (hourly) role reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager, with no supervisory duties. The job requires adherence to Triple-S Steel's safety standards and work methods. Overtime may be necessary to fulfill customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions.
• Safely move steel to and from storage, production areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment.
• Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift materials, guide loads, and secure loads during transportation.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds for up to 25 feet, and exert force as needed while wearing PPE.
• Apply proper bundling techniques and configure loads for transportation.
• Maximize trailer load capacity safely.
• Operate tools and equipment such as tape measures, forklifts, cranes, and safety gear properly.
• Identify and report safety issues with equipment.
• Work outdoors and indoors in various weather conditions.
• Maintain spatial awareness to navigate the work environment safely.
• Attend all required meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
