Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

Performs all material handling functions involved in the manufacturing and assembly processes of Modineer Company.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Receives raw materials or finished goods into the facility or department, moves to inbound storage area.
• Gathers parts, raw materials, or finished goods.
• Prepares finished orders for movement to outbound shipping area.
• Performs clerical and/or data entry/paperwork functions accurately.
• Ensures items are correctly labeled and free of defects.
• Operates forklift to move, load, and unload product and/or materials.
• Operates pallet jack, hand cart, or dolly to move materials.
• Maintains equipment in proper working order, including routine preventative maintenance.
• Performs housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, removing scrap, pallets, and cardboard.
• Understands inventory control functions.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail, high accuracy, and follow-through.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Education, Prior Work Experience, and Skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word preferred.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (PLEX is a plus).
• Knowledge of Glovia and Edibar work environments is a plus.
• Experience in inventory control functions preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Physical Environment/Working Conditions

Works in a manufacturing environment with warm or cold temperatures. Must be able to:

• Visually receive and identify detailed information.
• Detect sounds within a range of volumes and frequencies.
• Respond to sights and sounds.
• Check, compare, or copy details.
• Manipulate objects or tools regularly.
• Use arms/legs continually throughout the shift.
• Lift up to 40 lbs continuously.
• Stand or sit for long periods.
• Move quickly across terrain.
• Adjust body position while performing tasks.
