- Drive/operate fork truck, tugger, and/or cherry picker in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Organize & stock material supplies to meet production requirements and inventory control in a timely manner.
- Pick and store in sequential order as needed.
- Deliver material to the production lines, ensuring they are fully stocked prior to shift end.
- Ensure all banding, shrink wrap, cardboard supports, and other loose packaging are fully removed and disposed of in the appropriate trash or recycling containers when stocking the production lines. Always engage the parking brake and follow safe operating procedures when dismounting the forklift for this task.
- Keep general storage areas, including the supermarket or any material storage locations, well-organized and maintained. Ensure that materials on the bottom pallet are free from banding, shrink wrap, cardboard supports, or other loose packaging.
- Bring empty dunnage to the receiving or bailer.
- Organize and maintain general storage areas.
- Maintain safe and clear access to all doorways and foot traffic areas.
- Adhere to all safety rules and wear required Personal Protection Equipment.
- Observe and report maintenance issues on powered industrial trucks, including daily assessments.
- Support plant-wide material organization and housekeeping goals.
- Rotate all material to ensure 100% FIFO.
- Participate in plant inventories and material reorganization activities, as required.
- Maintain powered industrial truck certification and attend update training as needed.
- Remove cardboard to the bailer area, bail cardboard, and place bails in appropriate storage trailers, enforcing recycling programs.
- Document all activities as required.
- Adhere to all company guidelines for Emergency Evacuation to ensure employee safety.
- Perform any additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by management.
Limits of Authority
- Advise Department Manager of situations that may pose significant risks to the program, product assurance, facilities, employee safety, or customer satisfaction.
- Initiate actions to prevent nonconformance related to product, process, & systems.
- Identify and record problems related to product, process, or system.
- Recommend or provide solutions through appropriate channels and verify implementation.
- Control further processing and delivery of nonconforming product until deficiencies are corrected.
Basic Education, Experience and Skills Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Good written and mathematical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Powered Industrial Truck Certification.
- Familiarity with quality specifications and documentation in an automotive environment is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.

Health, Safety and Physical Demand Requirements
- Standing and sitting in a manufacturing environment, with minor lifting and pushing of materials and equipment.
- Ability to work at heights up to 25 feet.
- Sitting for 8 hours or more.
- Occasional lifting, climbing, carrying, pulling, gripping, grasping, and reaching (11-64% of workday).
- Hand and eye coordination.
