Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial truck safely and efficiently per MIOSHA and company standards.
• Unload and stack material using the lifting device.
• Load and unload racks/containers onto trucks.
• Inventory materials on the work floor.
• Weigh materials and record weights on tags/production schedules.
• Lubricate truck, recharge batteries, and handle fuel or gas as needed.
• Ensure proper tagging on all containers before moving.
• Perform daily safety and operational checks and assist in department operations.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Operates Powered Industrial Truck safely and efficiently and in accordance with MIOSHA and company standards.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Loads and unloads racks and/or containers onto trucks.
• Inventories materials on work floor.
• Weighs material/products, records weight on tags, labels and/or production schedules.
• Loads/unloads materials onto and/or off pallets, skids or lifting device.
• Lubricates truck, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank or replaces liquefied gas tank.
• Ensures correct tagging is on all containers prior to moving.
• Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment.
• Completes safety and operational checks daily.
• Help in departmental operation wherever necessary.
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities.
• Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.
